LilyAna Naturals is a family-owned skincare brand that makes skin-credible, clean, and affordable skincare products. They thrive on social media, specifically on TikTok. That's why they choose that medium for their new campaign advertising their top products.

When I was contacted, the idea for the filter was already decided. I took care of bringing it to life, handling not only the development of the filter itself but also all the graphic materials needed for it.

Trust the process

It all starts with an storyboard. This way, I managed to define the look and feel of the entire filter together with the LilyAna team. In this case, I had to design the frames for the photos, the effects applied to the products, and all the titles.

Modifications can always be made later, but it's most practical to start programming the filter with all the elements already defined.

The Effect

The entire filter happens in 15 seconds. It starts with a message explaining the challenge that automatically hides when one begins to record. From there, a sequence of steps is triggered, turning images on and off, taking snapshots, and triggering sounds as it unfolds.

In addition to the challenge, the filter had the easter egg of being able to add glows to the image or change your hair color to LilyAna's. To activate these extra filters, all you had to do was tap the screen at any time.
