The Context
GoKlaim is a Employee benefits management platform designed to support top level executives manage their employee’s allowances and help employees to easily register claims and redeem their allowance.
The product combines:
Web App (SaaS)
Admin Dashboard
Role based access and management (Super admins, admins, claim agents)
Claim management (Approval, Partial Approval, Decline with reason)
Mobile App (for employees)
Benefits balance management
Raise claims and track status
Learn about current and upcoming benefits
The platform was designed from scratch, with the goal of balancing power, speed, and trust in a single ecosystem.
The Problem
Enterprise expense and allowance systems are traditionally:
Overly complex and slow
Fragmented across roles and departments
Hard to use on mobile (where most claims originate)
Key challenges:
High cognitive load for admins reviewing claims at scale
Friction-heavy claim submission for employees
Poor visibility into claim status, trends, and approvals
No unified experience across web (admins) and mobile (employees)
The goal wasn’t just “great UI” - it was to reduce operational friction, speed up approvals, and create trust through clarity.
My Role and ownership
I was responsible for the end-to-end UX/UI design of the platform across web and mobile.
Strategy & UX
Deep-dive discovery with founders to understand domain logic and workflows
Competitor analysis to identify patterns that work (and anti-patterns to avoid)
Defined information architecture for complex, multi-role systems
Designed user flows for claims, approvals, escalations, and reporting
Wireframed core journeys with usability as the primary constraint
UI & Design System
Designed 54+ production-ready screens across:
Web admin portal
Responsive dashboards
Employee mobile app
Created a scalable design system (colors, typography, components)
Balanced enterprise seriousness with a modern, friendly visual language
Used bold yet controlled color accents to improve scannability and focus
Designed dashboards to suggest next actions, not just show data
