Logo and brand identity for "Bere Czell Brasov"

After more than 100 years since this brand disappeared from the market, two brothers from Brașov decided to bring Bere Czell back to life.

Logo, label, and brand identity design for "Bere Czell Brașov"—a great project reviving an old local beer brand that has been off the market for many years.

The client approached me with this project, aiming for a rebranding. In short, the brief focused on blending the old with the new. The "old" represented the tradition and culture shared by the city and this brand, while the "new" reflected the modern lifestyle and the growing demand for craft beer among both locals and tourists.

We started the project by designing the main logo, inspired by the original one. After a revision session, the Bere Czell logo was finalized.

Among the requested graphic elements were a stylized emblem of the city of Brașov and a portrait of the Czell brothers.

Once the main logo was completed, we focused on the secondary logos, their applications, and the development of graphic elements to support the brand’s visual identity.

Of course, once the overall direction of the visual identity was defined, a beer brand also needed labels.

The project aimed to create three distinct labels for the three types of beer: Clară, Nefiltrată, and Originală.

After all the hard work put into building this brand, it was time to have some fun and bring it to life in a unique and creative way.

We designed graphics for a wide range of items, including various types of vehicles, metal kegs, refrigerators, clothing, flags, umbrellas, coasters, beer taps—pretty much everything needed (and even some things that weren’t). 😄

This has been—and still is—one of the coolest projects I’ve had the chance to work on. It came with many challenges and frustrations, but the joy of being part of such a project far outweighed everything else.
