Project Goal

Mid-way through 2021, I was approached by a client living in London, with the idea of turning their restaurants family recipe, into a product they could sell to their customers, and eventually distribute to local markets. The restaurant bodes a modern English/Vietnamese fusion menu, and wanted to capture the essence of Vietnamese culture, in a fun, creative way. They sent me a mood-board of all the relevant visuals, and requested a quirky slogan to go with their hot sauces chosen name of 'Ot Sauce.'

Firstly, after a call with the client to gather all the information I could about their business and goals for the hot sauce, I came up with 3 concept pieces of what the label could look like. After choosing 2 designs to bring to the next stage, eventually the final concept piece was chosen. Next, after some research, I suggested 5 different slogans which would suit the piece well, and they ended up going with "Vietnamese Everything Sauce." Lastly I finalized the front and back label, and presented the design in a PDF document, with high quality files, and mock-ups to ensure the client was more than happy with their chosen design. Currently, after checking in with the client, they have reported after 9 months, they are regularly sold out of their product due to high demand, and are looking for a more cost effective way to produce the end product, so they can start distributing to markets.
