First, I undertook extensive research into what makes a brand luxurious, her competition, her ideal demographic, what she wanted her future company to look like, and everything in between. After establishing a solid base of information, I went to work designing 3-5 black and white concepts for a logo, which included her requested symbol. We went through 3 rounds of designs before selecting her perfect logo and then went into brand colour discovery. After giving a presentation of the different variations of her branding colours, she selected her ideal choice and I went forward to finalize her logo and branding guidelines in clear documents. As a final presentation of her newly designed branding, I created multiple mock-ups of how it would look on her products and advertising. As she was ecstatic with the progress so far, she requested I design a website that displayed her story, her brand and had future e-commerce functionality. The process was very straight-forward as I had already gathered the information during the branding process, and I had developed the guidelines to accommodate web use.
