As part of a quarterly hackathon, I worked on a design project for a TikTok-like platform. Our team developed a visually stunning and user-friendly platform with a focus on simplicity, interactivity, and user-generated content.

However, in my free time, I took a step back and thought about how we could take this idea further. I contemplated potential features that could enhance the streaming platform and make it even more exciting and engaging for users.

So I came up with idea one can combine the addictive nature of TikTok with customizable brand experiences. This way brands and influencers can showcase their content in a captivating and personalized manner, offering a unique video streaming experience.

The project began with extensive research into the video-sharing app landscape, as well as a deep understanding of their design principles and user experience. We then worked together to create a visually stunning platform with a focus on simplicity, interactivity, and user-generated content.

BitTok offers different types of accounts, catering to a diverse range of users. Creators can set up individual accounts to share their creative content, while brands have access to specialized brand accounts with enhanced customization options. These accounts empower both individuals and brands to express their unique identities and engage with their target audience effectively.

Brands can utilize the powerful Brand Hub feature to customize their pages and create a cohesive brand experience. From choosing color schemes and fonts to adding logos and branding elements, brands can effortlessly showcase their identity and create a distinct visual presence on the platform. This customization ensures brand consistency and helps establish a strong connection with viewers.

BitTok provides a seamless video streaming experience, allowing users to enjoy a continuous stream of engaging content. Users can effortlessly swipe through videos, explore diverse categories, and discover new content creators and brands. The platform's algorithm ensures personalized recommendations based on users' preferences, enhancing the overall viewing experience. If the user wants to explore recommended videos they scroll vertically, and if they want to see more videos of specific sort - horizontally.

BitTok offers a variety of interactive tools that enhance viewer engagement. Users can like, comment, and share videos to express their opinions and interact with the community. Additionally, it incorporates unique features like duets and challenges, fostering collaboration and participation among creators and users.

While the platform is not currently live (and not planned to be), I found this whole experiment a fun exercise for my creativity. I believe that "Brand hub" has great potential as a new and innovative addition to the video-sharing app landscape.
