Strategy-led UX/UI redesign of industrial IoT platform with AI integration

✦ Results
Reduced alarm resolution time from 4 taps to 1, cutting friction at the exact moment operators are under pressure to act on critical events.
Design audit uncovered three critical UX failures (no primary alarm action, buried remedy guidance, hidden recurrence patterns) that directly shaped the redesign strategy.
Integrated Lumi (AI assistant) at critical decision points (alarm context, investigation chat, daily brief), turning tribal knowledge into a surfaced product feature that enables operators to act faster.

✦ About Lumicent (🇨🇦) formely CoGo, is an industrial IoT condition-monitoring platform tracking assets, sensors, and alarms across distributed sites. Over a 5-week strategy-led engagement, I redesigned three mission-critical flows and established the design foundation for the broader platform.
The work started with a structured design audit that uncovered the real problem: the platform’s hierarchy reflected how data was stored, not how operators needed to consume it. Remedy guidance lived as tribal knowledge. Recurring alarms were treated as isolated events.
Lumi (the AI assistant) was woven in at the right moments: contextual chat during investigation, a daily brief on the home page, and remedy suggestions at the point of alarm.
The engagement converted into a Launch Support Retainer, continuing the partnership post-launch.

BEFORE — Single letters to represent Assets, e.g. (F) for Fan. But what happens when multiple assets start with (F)?
AFTER — Icons tied to 3D imagery gave each Asset a distinct, learnable identity

Introduced a visual system linking assets to icons and 3D imagery, letting technicians learn them over time at a glance
