Automotive Companion App

Showcase up-to-date visual design skills and interface thinking in the context of a white-label automotive companion app

Scope

Designed 3 mobile screens based on benchmarking analysis of EV/automotive apps (e.g. Tesla, Volvo, Mercedes, BYD, etc. ), covering:
Home: Quick access to most-used features (Remote Controls, Trip Setup, Find My Car, Road Assistance).
Vehicle: Status alerts, statistics (avg. consumption, mileage), remote services (updates, climate control, security), and technical specifications.
Trips: Map view with nearby charging stations, parking, scheduled trips, and search functionality.

Visual Strategy

Clean and adaptable UI for multi-brand (white-label) use.
Accessibility-conscious with clear hierarchy, scannable screens and minimal overload.
Dark and light themes designed from the start.
Considerations
Prioritized legibility, quick recognition of vehicle status and minimal cognitive load.
Trigger-based messaging model (alerts shown only when required).
UI tokens identified for future design system development.

Next steps:

Define core tokens & components for scalable Design System.
Map UX flows (e.g. remote lock/unlock, charging setup, etc)
Add authentication flow: login, account creation
Continue with the UI Designs, while evolving the Design System.
