Quickcheck offered small loans via a mobile app, increasing user limits over time based on repayment behavior. However:
Users didn’t understand how to qualify for higher loans;
Frustration led to drop-off after a few repayment cycles;
Default rates remained high despite frequent use.
We saw an opportunity to educate users, create a sense of progress, and build long-term financial habits—all while aligning with business goals of reducing risk and increasing retention.
Project goals
Extend user lifecycle, improve repayment rates, and reduce default risk through a transparent, gamified credit experience.
