The project was created for Soirée, a cultural event designed to bring people together through music, food, and shared experiences. The identity needed to feel bold, playful, and sophisticated—something that would stand out in both digital promotion and physical applications like posters and merchandise.
Balancing Playfulness with Sophistication
The figure needed to avoid looking too cartoonish while still being approachable. I simplified the lines to keep the form recognizable and stylish without losing its warmth.
Scalability Across Mediums
The design had to work seamlessly on everything from posters to merchandise. Ensuring the illustration held up in different sizes (from large prints to T-shirts) was a key focus.
Maintaining Visual Rhythm
With heavy typography and strong illustration, there was a risk of overcrowding. I experimented with composition and spacing until the visuals felt dynamic but breathable.
Tone Consistency
Since the event blends food, music, and culture, the visuals needed to strike a consistent tone that appealed to a wide audience while still feeling curated and intentional.
