Grid-Based Logo Exploration

This project is a logo exercise exploring the visual interpretation of chakra-based concepts through systematic and experimental design processes. The development began with hand-drawn sketches on paper using markers, allowing for immediate and intuitive exploration of shapes, balance, and symbolic representations of energy. This analog stage was essential for quickly testing ideas without digital constraints and for establishing the initial creative direction of the logo variations. In parallel, a handmade moodboard and illustration book were created to define the conceptual atmosphere, visual references, and emotional tone of the exercise.
The selected ideas were then translated into a structured digital process, where each logo was constructed using specific geometric grids. These grids ensured precision, consistency, and proportional harmony across all versions, reinforcing the structured nature of the exercise. From this base, multiple explorations were developed, including negative space, light and bold weight variations, curved interpretations, and color-based versions referencing chakra symbolism. Each variation tested how the same core form could shift in expression while maintaining its underlying structure.

Finally, the designs were printed to evaluate their physical appearance and to identify possible inconsistencies that were not visible on screen. This step helped refine spacing, proportions, and overall clarity, ensuring the designs remained effective in real-world applications. Through this process of sketching, manual exploration, digital construction, and print testing, the exercise demonstrates how a single conceptual system can evolve into multiple coherent logo directions.
