After Reddit's IPO announcement, many users fled the site searching for alternatives. Lemmy, a decentralized social media platform, was one of them. Because Lemmy was difficult to join and navigate at the time, I set out to make it more searchable and approachable—thus Lemmynade was born.
Lemmynade is a mobile progressive web app for Lemmy, built with Svelte and crafted to be more shareable, browsable, and accessible to the average person. It utilizes infinite scrolling, virtual lists, granular caching, touch-friendly interactions, and a custom community discovery algorithm.
