✨ Overview

As a migrant myself, I was genuinely excited to work on this project and support a mission that feels so close to home.
Professional Migrant Women were launching a new program after already running one in the past, so they had a clear understanding of what they needed this time around. They reached out to me after seeing how I ran programs at The Community Collective, looking for support to bring that same level of structure and efficiency to their own.
My role was to design and set up the operational backbone of this pilot program, building systems that would not only support a smooth experience now, but also set strong foundations for future growth.
The focus was on creating a centralised, easy-to-use system that could handle onboarding, data collection, communication, and delivery, so everything lives in one place and can scale with them over time.

💡 Outcomes

By the end of the project, they had a system they could actually rely on. Everything was organised in one place, from onboarding to follow-ups, which made the whole program feel much smoother to run.
A lot of manual work was removed thanks to automation, which gave them more space to focus on their participants instead of admin. It also set them up with a structure they can reuse and build on for future cohorts.

🧠 Key Learnings

This project really reinforced how much good systems can change the experience of a program. When things are clear and well structured behind the scenes, everything feels easier and more intentional on the surface.
I also saw how important it is to keep things simple. It’s easy to overcomplicate tools like Airtable, but the real value comes from building something people will actually use and understand.
And finally, I was reminded that operations are not just about efficiency, they directly shape how people experience a program. When the flow is smooth, people feel it.

💛 Why It Matters

This project felt personal. As a migrant, I know how important it is to have spaces that truly support you, and how frustrating it can be when the experience feels disorganised or hard to navigate.
For me, this wasn’t just about setting up systems. It was about helping create a program where women feel welcomed, supported, and taken care of from the very first interaction.
By building a clear, centralised and scalable foundation, I helped turn their vision into something that can grow and reach more women over time, without losing the quality of the experience. Because when the operations are solid, the focus can shift back to what really matters: the people and the impact.
