Community Engagement | The Community Collective

I joined The Community Collective as an Ambassador to help support their mission of empowering community builders around the world. My role was to advocate for their platform, assist other community builders, and foster meaningful connections through their free Ambassador Program. This is a highly sought-after program with over a 100 applicants, and I was honored to be one of only 10 selected.

The Community Collective identified a gap in support and resources for community builders who often work in silos and lack access to a peer network. They created the Ambassador Program to nurture a vibrant ecosystem where experienced community builders can share their knowledge, build relationships, and grow together.

Connecting with the Community: I joined The Community Collective live program when it first opened and have since joined all their programs. As an Ambassador I got the opportunity to have behind-the-scenes access and was able to join virtual meet-ups, to help run the program successfully in collaboration with other Ambassadors.

Sharing Expertise: I facilitated discussions on topics like community engagement, platform selection, and scaling strategies based on my past experience.

Driving Visibility: I leveraged my LinkedIn network to share my involvement with The Community Collective, encouraging other community builders to join the program.

Providing Feedback: Regularly shared insights and feedback with The Community Collective team to refine the Ambassador experience and improve member engagement.

Organizing Meetups: Led both online and in-person meetups to connect members and foster meaningful discussions.

Welcoming New Members: Personally welcomed new members to the program, ensuring they felt supported and integrated into the community.

Public Speaking: Represented The Community Collective at in-person and virtual events. Regularly hosted co-working sessions for the program.

Support with Community Strategy: Worked with the team to refine community-building strategies, including engagement plans and member retention approaches.

Connected with over 40 community builders from various industries, creating meaningful relationships and collaboration opportunities.

Facilitated discussions that led to actionable takeaways for members, such as improving onboarding flows and increasing event participation.

Organized successful online and in-person meetups, strengthening connections within the community.

Collaboration is Key: Building relationships with other Ambassadors allowed us to exchange ideas and learn from each other, enriching the experience for everyone involved.

Personal Advocacy Matters: Sharing my own journey and learnings with my network was instrumental in driving engagement and inspiring others to join.

Iterate and Improve: Continuous feedback and iteration ensured the program remained relevant and valuable to its members.

Leverage Strengths: By focusing on areas where I could provide the most value, such as facilitating discussions and creating resources, I was able to maximize my impact.

Being an Ambassador for The Community Collective has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. It allowed me to give back to the community building space while growing my own network and learning from some of the best in the field.
