A mobile app was needed to serve as a seamless crypto wallet for AX Network users to interact with AX accounts and manage cryptocurrencies. It needed to simplify account handling and streamline buying and selling processes for crypto assets, benefiting both seasoned traders and beginners.

UI/UX Design

I first conducted a competitive analysis and user interviews to understand market trends and user needs. Based on the findings, I created a flowchart with the functions we needed to be included and the wireframes for the app.

The design followed three key principles: clarity, user-centric navigation, and efficiency. A clean, minimalistic layout emphasized essential features such as the Send, Receive, and Trade buttons.

A clear visual hierarchy ensures that critical information, such as balances and token performance, stands out while simplified navigation enables seamless transitions between tabs like Tokens and NFTs.

For the prototypes we went for a dark theme, offering a modern, professional look and reducing eye strain during extended usage. Accent colors, like green and red, indicate positive and negative token price changes, respectively.

We had to ensure a quick and easy signup process while still creating a secure environment. Signing up was shortened to just the necessary steps: choosing a username, and a public name, saving the account’s recovery phrase, and lastly verifying the email address.

As the app’s main feature, sending and receiving cryptocurrencies had to be made as simple as possible. The process was designed to be completed in two quick steps: select the currency and the destination, tap on Continue, then select the amount, confirm the details, and tap Send now!

Since NFTs play a significant role in blockchain trading, it was essential to integrate this feature into the app for user convenience while keeping the interface simple and uncluttered. To achieve this, we added a dedicated tab alongside the main assets, specifically for NFTs. This tab allows users to view their NFT holdings, track activity history, and easily send and receive NFTs, all without complicating the app’s overall functionality.

The wallet app’s settings page offers a clean, user-friendly experience with customizable security, currency, and language options. It ensures smooth account management, backup, privacy controls, and integrated support, balancing simplicity with essential features for a secure user experience.

While it may be tempting to add additional features and come up with solutions to untested issues, it’s crucial to release the initial version of the product quickly. This allows us to gain insights into the users and make necessary iterations.
