444 Collaborative Branding

444 Collaborative, a shared-space coffee roastery in Oakland, CA wanted a branding that was a departure from the clean-cut, "tech" influenced branding that has become synonymous with coffee brands, especially in the Bay Area.

Influenced by the graffiti scene in West Oakland, and punk rock from the 90s and 00's 444's branding harkens back to a time when physical objects left us feeling a bit less ethereal.

Using physical objects as landmarks for information brings the viewer in and engages them in a way that is a bit more nuanced than simply information on a page. This idea was then translated to the UI on the final website.
