In this individual project for Vertical Institute, I played a vital role as a UX/UI designer and researcher. My primary focus was to design a user-centric product by understanding user needs and preferences.

About SWIFT🔎

With its gamification feature, SWIFT not only tracks your expenses but also motivates you to maintain your financial health. The user-friendly interface and intuitive design of SWIFT make it easy for users to monitor their spending habits, identify areas for improvement, and stay on track with their financial goals. Whether you're a student managing a tight budget or a young adult navigating the complexities of personal finance, SWIFT is an essential tool that can help you achieve financial stability and success.

Process🛣

To achieve this, I conducted user interviews to gain insights into the pain points, motivations, and behaviors of the target audience. With this information, I created user personas and empathy maps to visualise the user's characteristics, goals, and challenges.
To ideate and iterate on design solutions, I utilised methods like Crazy 8s and produced a user journey flowchart to map out the user's experience. Using these insights, I then created low to high fidelity prototypes to visualise the design and validate the usability of the product. The prototypes were then used to test with users to get feedback and improve the design.
To finalise the design, I produced wireframes and a style guide that reflected the brand's tone and aesthetics. Throughout the project, my role involved continuous communication and collaboration with the users to ensure the product design was on track with the vision and goals of the project.

Overall, my role as a UX/UI designer and researcher was crucial in ensuring the final product was user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and met the client's expectations. Thanks to the insights gained from user research and the iterative design process, I was able to create a product that truly meets the needs of the target audience.

Takeaways📣

As my initial solo project, handling such a detailed project was a challenge in itself, a challenge I believe I handled well, and I am to do even better for my next project.
Despite having a mere 2-week timeframe, the exhilaration of completing everything on time was immense. At times, my motivation wavered, and procrastination took hold, and I questioned my abilities to tackle the task at hand, but taking brief respites to clear my head and gather my thoughts proved invaluable.
Ultimately, my objective was to construct an app aptly named 'Swift,' which allowed users to record their transactions with rapid ease, requiring no more than three buttons to do so.
