About the Project

Almond Fintech is a startup that offers a credit scoring platform using psychometric and financial data. This enables financial institutions to provide fast, low-risk, and ethical loans to individuals with unconventional or limited credit histories. They approached me and a group of designers for assistance in designing new features for their Minimum Viable Product (MVP). My primary responsibility was to design dashboard databases for loan agents that showcased customer information.

Solution

To address the diverse needs of users in remote areas, I developed wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for three versions of the platform: a mobile app, a desktop application, and an offline app. I also created dashboards for agents, enabling them to maintain a database of their customers and track their status in the assessment process. The design included an accessible filtering system and was mindful of cultural aesthetics to ensure relevance and engagement. This comprehensive approach facilitated seamless access and usability across various environments and technological proficiencies.

Discovery & Results

The implementation of these designs led to significant improvements in user satisfaction and engagement. Financial institutions reported a smoother onboarding process and more efficient credit assessments, thanks to the intuitive filtering system and culturally relevant design. The offline app, in particular, enabled users in remote areas to access the platform without connectivity issues, broadening the reach of Almond FinTech’s services. Overall, the project successfully democratized access to credit scoring, fostering greater financial inclusion for underserved populations.
