Raja Kumari Visual Identity Design

Born in California, but with very deep roots in India, Raja Kumari is an experimental artist. She molds the traditional South Asian influences into modern hip-hop. Her revolutionary way of demolishing musical boundaries brings cultural representation to new heights, and she is one of the most important voices in contemporary world music. Our goal was to design a visual identity that captures her bold fusion of cultures, celebrating her as both a musical innovator and a bridge between East and West.

To connect authentically with Raja Kumari's fans, we explored her identity as a bridge between art and culture. Fans see her as a fearless voice challenging the norm, blending her cultural roots with modern beats. She’s an innovator who embodies self-empowerment, cultural pride, and the bold fusion of East and West, resonating through every note and rhythm she creates.

The monogram "J" for Raja Kumari's brand draws inspiration from the shape and symbolism of a sword. By incorporating the sleek, sharp lines of a sword into the design of the "J," we created a monogram that embodies her warrior spirit while maintaining elegance, merging tradition with a modern edge.

Raja Kumari’s identity is woven from powerful symbols, each telling a piece of her story. The crown represents her royalty in music, the fire her passion, the lotus—drawn from her tattoo and Indian origins symbolizes her spiritual growth, and the star reflects her rising influence.
