Naza Alakija - Squarespace Website Restructure & Redesign

Naza Alakija is the founder and CEO of Evoca Foundation and a strategic advisor to institutions, governments and investors, including the Qatar Economic Forum. Her existing Squarespace site no longer reflected that work, so her chief of staff, Pandora Haydon, brought me in to restructure and redesign it.

New site structure: Home, About, Work (Evoca, QEF, Strategic Advisory), Press and Contact

Visual direction driven by the existing brand palette, plus layout and motion references from the client

Existing blog content archived and preserved for SEO

Custom code, interaction, animated iconography, and plugins

Mobile optimisation, on-site SEO, URL structure, metadata and alt text

Walkthrough and handover

I explored three prototype directions and the client chose "Warm Editorial Motion". It pairs a refined serif with the official brand palette and a custom suite of hand-drawn brush marks that animate in across the page.

The Work section is a horizontal accordion, so Evoca Foundation, Qatar Economic Forum and Strategic Advisory sit side by side as tabs instead of a long scroll. The build also includes a loading animation, a full-screen menu drawer and a news grid linking out to press coverage.

Launched in September 2026 on an eight-week timeline.

"Brendan was wonderful to work with and delivered exactly what we had in mind. I highly recommend him!" (Pandora Haydon, Evoca Foundation)
