Mt Baker Foundation - Custom Squarespace Build from Figma

Mount Baker Foundation is a private foundation funding community-led health work in Whatcom County, Washington. Planthouse Studio designed the new site in Figma and brought me in as a development partner to build it in Squarespace, ready for handover within a week of kickoff.

8 pages built from the Figma file, with reusable sections across all of them

Custom fonts (DM Sans and Mona Sans), favicon, and full mobile pass

Two custom code plugins, plus newsletter, contact form, and footer navigation setup

Handover and transfer of the site to the client's account

The About page history is a custom timeline plugin. Each event is a post in a hidden blog collection, so the foundation adds or edits milestones like any blog post, and the timeline updates itself. Post title, body, date, and featured image map to the card title, text, year, and dot.

The Kidney Health page has a sticky pill navigation I built for long-form content. The pills track which section is in view and scroll to it on click. New sections are picked up automatically from their anchor tags, so no code needs touching.

I also added eased dropdown timing on the main menu after client review, and swapped hero sections between pages late in the build without breaking layouts.

The site was handed over on schedule in February 2026 and went live in April, when I transferred ownership to the client.
