QRCL: Security Scanner Role: Product, Brand & Design Engineer
Owned the full system architecture and user flows from zero across four distinct applications: Resident, Sub-Resident, Security Scanning, and Admin/Super Admin each with different permissions, priorities, and risk levels.
Designed the Security Scanning application QRCL's first-of-its-kind visitor and vehicle verification system built for estate security personnel to scan and validate QR-coded visitor passes in real time at entry points.
Designed the flow to work under real field conditions: fast scan-to-confirm response, clear pass/fail visual states readable at a glance, and an escalation path for flagged or invalid codes so security staff could act immediately without needing to interpret ambiguous feedback.
Connected the Security Scanner directly into the Admin/Super Admin system, so every scan logged automatically giving estate managers a live, auditable record of visitor entry and exit without manual logbooks.
Designed the visitor issuance flow on the Resident side, letting residents generate and share time-bound QR passes for guests, which the Security Scanner then validated against closing the loop between resident, visitor, and security in one system.
Built a detailed design system and component library before designing any production screen, then hosted design builds on a local server and published to Vercel, giving developers a live reference for API integration and configuration across all four applications.
Identified a gap in the original brief around resident-landlord interaction that wasn't scoped in the initial plan independently defined, designed, and shipped a new sub-application to close it, with no existing PRD.
Continue to work across QRCL today product, brand, marketing, motion, and engineering as the platform grows.
