My Future Investment Goal (MyFIG)
FigTech Limited is striving to provide equal access to financial services through technology.
The goal of the MyFIG mobile app is to remove all complexities and provide users with a seamless experience when investing in and purchasing insurance policies and pension plans.
The goal
The main goal of this phase of the project was to build an MVP that FigTech Limited could use to secure funding and to achieve this we focused on 3 main goals:
Helping users set track and achieve their investment goals.
Providing users with investment packages tailored to meet their needs.
Providing users with tracking their existing financial services on the MyFIG platform.
Results
The client was very happy after the work done in the first phase of the project because they were able to accomplish their goal of building an MVP to secure funding of €20,000 in the Innolab Insuretech 2022 Accelerator Programme.
Solution
Secure onboarding
During the sign-up process, users verify their account by using an OTP sent through SMS, set up a 4-digit PIN to help secure their account, and can set up biometric verification to serve as an extra layer of security. This is an important part of the onboarding process as we want to prevent any unauthorized access to the app.

Connect existing financial services
Users can also connect their existing investment packages, insurance policies, and pension plans to MyFIG to help them track everything in one place.
Setting an investment goal
As part of helping users attain their financial goals, users can create a portfolio, and based on the information provided, the platform recommends packages that best suit users.
Tracking an investment goal
Users can keep an eye on their investment packages to see how they are performing and how far along they are from reaching their goals.
Purchasing life insurance policies
Users are provided with life insurance policies and once a user finds a policy that’s right for them they can go ahead and provide the needed information to subscribe to it right on MyFIG.
