Spec: Wholesale Coffee Sample Request UX

Brief

A cafe owner should not need wholesale coffee jargon to request a useful sample flight. This self-initiated Spec turns an open enquiry into one coherent request without implying live stock, pricing, shipment, or supplier action.

Subject-derived system

A qualitative Light-to-Medium roast ladder organizes three synthetic profiles. The user chooses exactly two 100 g demonstration bags, then adds brew setup, monthly volume, delivery region, and follow-up preference. The ladder is a comparison aid, not a product-quality score.

Observable states

The flow includes default, combined, sample-only, and region-only validation states, followed by an exact review ticket and a demonstration finish that states nothing was sent. Error copy names both the cause and the repair action without relying on color alone.

Deliverables and verified QA

Native editable Figma source with semantic variables, text styles, and reusable controls
Responsive desktop and 390 px mobile compositions
Exact two-of-three selection, trade-detail, repair, review, and no-submission states
Local editable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript source
All 9 acceptance checks pass. Independent final review recorded local authenticity 95, local visual quality 94, native Figma quality 92, and a lowest native dimension of 87, with no blocker or unexplained high-risk pattern cluster. These scores measure the retained artifact, not business performance.

Limits

Self-initiated synthetic Spec, not client work. No real roastery, origin, certification, tasting result, stock, price, payment, shipment, CRM, supplier record, live submission, deployment, conversion, revenue, or commercial outcome is represented.
