At the end of 2024, I had the opportunity to work on the visual identity for the Fort Portal City Marathon—an inclusive event designed to unite runners from around the world against the breathtaking backdrop of Fort Portal’s landscapes and cultural landmarks.
With a vision to become a globally recognized marathon destination, the Fort Portal City Marathon goes beyond promoting health and fitness. It champions cultural heritage, fosters sports tourism, and nurtures athletic talent, transforming the city into a hub of unity, celebration, and growth for both runners and local communities.
The goal was to position the marathon as a celebration of culture and landmarks in this scenic region. Given the area’s rich history and numerous sites, the Fort—home to the city’s royal palace—became the centerpiece of the identity. Striking a balance between culture and sport, the color palette played a key role in capturing the essence of both athleticism and tradition.
To reinforce the brand’s standing, two impactful slogans were crafted:  "A Run in Paradise" - "Experience the Beauty, Celebrate the Culture!"
