A warm and familiar identity for a local Colombian food business

This project started close to home. Kitambre is the small food business of the grandfather of my Colombian girlfriend, located in Circasia, Colombia. Since the year 2000, he has been serving simple, honest food to the neighborhood. A place where people do not just come to eat, but to meet, talk, and feel at home.
The goal was to create a visual identity that respects this legacy while giving Kitambre a fresh and recognizable look. The identity is rooted in family, community, and tradition. Inspired by the colors of Circasia’s flag and the warmth of Colombian street food, the design uses soft shapes, hand-drawn details, and a friendly typographic style.
The logo tells the story in subtle ways. A roof shape symbolizes shelter and togetherness. A gentle smile refers to shared meals and familiar faces. Everything is designed to feel welcoming, local, and full of cariño.
This identity is not about becoming bigger or more polished. It is about staying true to what Kitambre has always been. A place where flavor feeds the body and warmth feeds the heart.
