The Challenge

A new website that enhances the user experience and caters to a wide range of users.

The site had to balance an informative, user-friendly interface while capturing the beauty and vibrancy of the Marlborough Sounds.

Given the diverse product offerings, it was essential to simplify navigation and improve access to tour options while seamlessly integrating booking processes via Rezdy.

Additionally, the brand needed to showcase their family-owned, friendly ethos and present the local expertise and authenticity that sets them apart from competitors.

An improved content structure made it easy for users to find the information they needed, whether they were looking to book a scenic cruise, explore the Queen Charlotte Track, or find special deals. By incorporating high-quality images and videos sourced from local tourism libraries, the site vividly reflects the stunning beauty of the Marlborough Sounds.

The website’s design is clean and accessible, with clear typography and a primary colour scheme of blue and white. Custom functionality includes advanced filtering for tours, integration of the MetService weather widget, and the use of tags for special offers. A responsive layout was prioritised to ensure a seamless experience across devices, catering to both older and tech-savvy users.
