MortarStone Website Redesign

Webflow / Figma / UI / Responsive Web

⚡Purpose

MortarStone provides churches and nonprofits with giving analytics and coaching. They partnered with me to redesign their website, moving from WordPress to Webflow to create a modern, user-friendly site that clearly communicates their value.

🎯Challenges & Goals

MortarStone needed a website that better reflected their growth and mission. The old site’s messaging and structure weren’t clear, and the visuals felt outdated. I aimed to redesign the site with a modern look, improved navigation, and messaging that clearly highlights the company’s value.

🔍 Audit & Analysis

I began by conducting a thorough audit of the existing site, reviewing every page, taking screenshots, and mapping all links. This helped me understand the site structure and identify key issues, including unclear messaging, confusing layouts, misplaced content, missing value proposition, and phrasing that made information hard to digest.

💡Insights & Strategy

The audit showed the site needed to explain not just what the product does, but why it matters. I guided the client on section order and layout to showcase offerings more clearly and improve usability.

🖌️Design / Wireframing / Branding

I developed wireframes to explore different ways of presenting the value proposition and gathered feedback from the client to refine the layouts. I also explored brand assets, expanded on the existing color palette, selected typography, created moodboards, and designed high-fidelity mockups. This process ensured the visuals were cohesive, modern, and aligned with the company’s evolving brand.

💻Development & Implementation

After the mockups were approved, I built the site in Webflow, implementing a consistent typescale and color variables. The result is a polished, fully responsive site that’s easy to navigate and clearly communicates the product’s value.
