ACT3 Ministry exists to empower and encourage those in the 3rd stage of life; the generation that has experienced retirement and now ready to pursue a new beginning. The ministry offers community and support on how one might discover their calling and help churches and individuals make an impact in the world around them.

ACT3 approached me to redesign their website and branding to better reflect their mission and brand personality. Their existing site felt outdated, and the images and content came across as cold and impersonal compared to the warm, empowering identity established by their marketing team. The goal was to create a site that resonated with their brand personality while streamlining the information architecture and layout, making it easier for visitors to navigate and engage with the ministry’s offerings.

I conducted a detailed audit of the website, reviewing every page, taking screenshots, and mapping the layout. I found navigation and page structure were confusing, with overlapping content on multiple pages. These observations highlighted opportunities to streamline the site and improve the visitor experience.

Based on the audit, I focused on helping ACT3 present their content more clearly and intuitively while reflecting their warm, empowering brand personality. I suggested combining overlapping content, provided guidance on section layouts, and recommended visual adjustments to ensure the site highlights their values and inspires visitors to engage with and support their community.

I created layout options using Relume wireframes to share with the ministry and gather their feedback. Once a direction was chosen, I focused on bringing ACT3’s warm, empowering brand personality to life. Drawing on their Sage and Caregiver archetypes, I developed color palettes that blended these traits and presented four moodboard options with potential website mockups. I also helped narrow down two font pairings, creating a cohesive, approachable design that reflects the ministry’s values.
