An app where guardians and students can trade used school supplies.

With the COVID-19 pandemic devastating so many industries, students from middle-to-low-income households have been hit especially hard. Artis is an intuitive and easy-to-use solution that utilizes the growth of digital payments to facilitate the buying and selling of used school supplies by students and/or their guardians.

My research goal was to learn more about the e-commerce process as a whole but to also accomplish the following:

understand and develop the solution from both the buyer and seller side of the trading process.

discover preventative measures in-app to ensure safe pickups and deliveries.

empathize with the users and gain insight into their pain points in the context of the whole trade process.

define user personas and user flows throughout the app.

In the design phase, I turned our flows into low-fidelity wireframes and then high-fidelity mockups. I focused on addressing the user's main points in terms of time, process length, saving information, and discovering relevant items during the process of uploading an item to be sold or searching for an item to buy.
