About the Brand :
Epic Curls is a haircare line for naturally curly hair - non-toxic, biodegradable, and tailored to Gen Z and younger millennial women of color. The goal was to stand out as modern and playful while retaining a luxurious feel.
The Challenge :
Create a bold, geometric wordmark and identity system that appeals to young, style-conscious consumers while differentiating from generic, mass-market curl-care brands.
Strategic Solution:
I built the wordmark almost entirely from circular forms - a nod to curls - complemented by clean lines for balance. This geometric system became a versatile visual toolkit for packaging and digital touchpoints. The color palette drew inspiration from natural ingredients like berries and fruit, reinforcing the brand’s eco-conscious ethos while remaining visually vibrant in retail spaces.

The identity was crafted to give Epic Curls a confident shelf presence alongside trend-forward beauty brands, while retaining the brand’s authenticity and approachability.
