I collaborated with a bookkeeper to complete a QuickBooks Online clean-up for a travel agency owned and operated by its founder. The project aimed to update and review the business's 2023 transactions in preparation for 2023 tax filing. I ensured all 2023 transactions were categorized correctly and that all 2023 transactions were recorded through account reconciliation and bank statement reviews.

As part of the project, I reviewed and categorized over 500 transactions across 3 accounts. Additionally, I fully reconciled all accounts through year-end 2023 and reviewed the business chart of accounts for accuracy. After receiving the necessary account statements and QuickBooks Online access, I completed all tasks within 10 business days.

This project is a great example of how a thorough bookkeeping clean-up can prepare a business for tax season, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records, ultimately providing peace of mind and facilitating better business decisions.
