Scaling Devzery’s Authority from DA 14 to DA 29 Through Strategic Blog & Backlink Growth

When I joined Devzery, the website had a Domain Authority of 14. The product was strong, the content had potential — but the domain lacked authority, backlinks, and consistent search visibility.
Instead of relying on artificial link tactics or “quick-win” strategies, I focused on building authority the right way: publishing high-quality technical blogs and supporting them with structured off-page collaborations.
Over time, this approach helped grow the domain from DA 14 to DA 29, while driving sustainable organic growth.

The Strategy: Real Content + Real Authority

The goal was simple: Build topical authority in developer automation, APIs, and testing — and support it with relevant backlinks and ecosystem visibility.
Rather than producing random content, I selected topics with:
Clear developer search demand
Medium competition
Long-tail scalability
Strong internal linking potential
Here are four key blogs that became part of the off-page:

1. Notion API Guide

Focus: Notion API implementation & integration queries Performance (Jan–Mar 2025):
10.9K impressions
Average position: 15.7
This article was designed to capture informational and integration-based queries around the Notion API. The high impressions indicate strong keyword coverage, especially across long-tail variations.

2. GitLab Desktop Complete Guide

Focus: GitLab Desktop queries and developer setup searches Performance (Jan–Mar 2025):
8.22K impressions
Average position: 11.6
This became one of the strongest-performing blogs. It captured practical setup and usage queries, which typically convert well in B2B SaaS environments.

3. Pinterest API Integration Guide

Focus: Pinterest API development queries Performance (Jan–Mar 2025):
11.3K impressions
Average position: 9.2
This article broke into top-10 territory for several related API terms. The strong position reflects both on-page depth and off-page reinforcement through contextual mentions.

4. Playwright API Testing Guide

Focus: API testing with Playwright Performance (Jan–Mar 2025):
4.39K impressions
Average position: 13.5
This piece targeted a niche but growing search segment. It supported Devzery’s core product positioning around automation and testing.

What I Did Off-Page (The Real Work)

Here’s where the authority growth happened.

1. Contextual Backlink Collaborations

Instead of buying links or doing low-quality directory submissions, I focused on:
Developer-focused blog collaborations
Contextual mentions in related technical articles
Niche SaaS and automation references
These backlinks were relevant, natural, and topically aligned — which matters far more than quantity.

2. Topical Clustering

Each blog wasn’t standalone.
I built internal linking between:
API guides
Automation tools
CI/CD topics
Testing frameworks
This strengthened topical relevance signals and improved crawl depth.

3. Search + Generative Engine Optimization

I structured content intentionally:
Clear H2/H3 sections answering specific queries
Code snippets for developer clarity
Direct-answer formatting for featured snippets
Practical examples instead of generic explanations
This improved discoverability in both traditional search results and AI-powered search engines.

The Outcome

Over the campaign period:
Multiple blogs entered top 10–15 average positions
Impressions scaled across long-tail technical queries
Organic clicks steadily increased
Domain Authority improved from 14 to 29
Most importantly, the growth was sustainable. No spam tactics. No short-term tricks. Just consistent authority building.

Key Takeaway

Strong off-page SEO isn’t about chasing backlinks.
It’s about:
Publishing genuinely useful content
Earning contextual relevance
Strengthening topic authority
Supporting blogs with real ecosystem visibility
That’s how i scaled Devzery’s authority — and that’s the approach I apply to SaaS SEO project.
