Daoism Systems - Immersive 3D Website for a Web3 Brand

A website that doesn't explain Web3 - it lets you feel it.

Lynksen's Role: full-cycle website creation

Project Overview

Daoism Systems is a Berlin-based Web3 studio building DAOs, DeFi protocols, and on-chain infrastructure for organizations that want to stay decentralized.
The challenge was to make the brand stand out in a crowded space - most Web3 sites are template-based or look the same. Our client needed the opposite: a website that felt like their philosophy - immersive, storytelling-driven and unlike anything else in Web3.
We presented this by translating Daoist symbolism into a living digital structure - Bagua and Ding - using particle interactions and ambient sounds.

Solution

01 Storytelling-driven structure

The site is built from exactly eight sections, echoing the Bagua, the eight trigrams of Daoist cosmology. It's a system where balance emerges from interconnected parts, with no single center holding it together.
That's not just a nice metaphor, but the same logic a DAO runs on as a Web3 studio. The brand's philosophy isn't just described in a paragraph - it's built into the architecture and is what you're moving through.

02 WebGPU rendering

We rendered the whole site as one continuous 3D scene on WebGPU instead of the more common WebGL, using Three.js and GSAP with a lot of custom engineering on top. It's what makes real-time particles, chromatic aberration on scroll, and perspective card reveals run smoothly across the entire site, not just the hero.
This level of performance is rare on marketing sites; most studios avoid it because it's hard to keep smooth.

03 Fully immersive, multi-sensory experience

The cursor swaps to contextual labels wherever you hover. Sound isn't a switch, it's a live audio-reactive visualizer with its own oscilloscope. And the entire 3D scene moves with you as you scroll, so the site responds to sight, sound, and motion all at once.

🖥️ UI and Interactions

The interface was designed in Figma and built on SvelteKit, combining a custom WebGPU/Three.js scene with GSAP for scroll-driven motion, perspective card reveals, and custom micro-interactions across the site.
The 3D structure in the hero was modeled in Cinema 4D and brought into the live scene. Ambient sound runs on a custom Web Audio API build, reacting in real time rather than just playing a fixed track.

🎮 The 404 Page

Most studios treat a 404 page as an afterthought. We treated it differently - a full rhythm game with three selectable tracks - Synthwave 15K, Oldskool, Space Ranger - and only three lives to survive "the void". Hit the notes in sync with the beat!
🔗 Play the 404 page Even the details stay in character: the loading sequence, the scroll indicator, and the tagline - all tie back to the brand's philosophy instead of breaking it. Built with Three.js and WebGPU, with the 3D scene modeled in Cinema 4D.
There's also a secret key combo hidden in the arrow code, pulled from the old Contra game - users have been hunting for it and commenting since launch. 👀
404 Page Game
The background itself is interactive - move the cursor and it drags a trail of smoke through the void, briefly revealing shapes in the dark.

Result

The site does something rare for a Web3 studio: it makes people spend time on their content, because the experience pulls them in.
For Daoism Systems, that means stronger impressions with the audience that matters most: DAO founders, protocol teams, and investors deciding who to trust with their infrastructure.
