I worked with Marine Bucher to clarify the direction of her brand and design a visual identity that clearly spoke to her ideal employers and clients.
Marine Bucher Branding
Marine Bucher is an extremely talented experience design lead with a powerful drive to make a difference to the world and the people around her. But as she looked to move countries and pivot her career, she realised she didn’t have a strong personal brand that would communicate her expertise and support her in her next steps.
Together, I worked with Marine to clarify the direction of her brand and design a visual identity that clearly spoke to her ideal employers and clients.
Brand strategy
Positive impact on people, products, and the planet.
Through our brand strategy workshop together, it became clear that whether Marine pursues employment or decides to freelance, her purpose will always be the same. Positive impact on people, products, and the planet.
The brand we built needed to evoke that purpose and appeal to the people who Marine would want to work with on that mission with colours, copy, and visuals that speak directly to them.
Brand identity
The flow on effects of positive impact
Prior to working together, Marine had a simple icon as her logo and a couple of colours. Our goal was to create a complete brand identity that felt professional and purposeful, giving Marine the flexibility to achieve any of her future career goals with the assets and elements.
I designed a full logo suite, colour palette and font suite, as well as a set of custom illustrated patterns inspired by the flowing contours and textures in nature.
These patterns and the overall brand were built around the brand concept the flow-on effects of investing in people and the planet. Marine is passionate about empowering & equipping purpose-driven teams with the strategy, support, and experience design leadership they need to positively impact people, products, and the planet. She knows that investing in this leads to better results and experiences for everyone. So the visual identity is a reflection of this idea.
Brand application
Creative for a career change
As an international move and career change were the reason we transformed this brand, I focused on applying the identity to relevant places that would support Marine in these moves. This included custom resume templates, LinkedIn graphics, and social media templates that enabled her to establish and communicate her extensive expertise in a professional, impressive format.
Being able to co-create with Hollie who is such a talented human and professional has been such an enjoyable process for me. I’ve learned a lot about what I wanted vs what I did not want in my life and work. Her process goes so much beyond what a brand could look like. After working together, Marine now has a complete, cohesive brand that will support her now as she navigates a new phase of life, and well into the future as she achieves her career goals.
