Beatsource × Death Row Records × JetPack
This one-time drop has been designed to celebrate 30+ years of quality music delivered by the iconic rap label, Death Row Records. Limited to 500 units, the bag features exclusive upgrades including custom lining, a scratch-resistant front panel, and one-of-a-kind accents, offering DJs a tool with utility and collectibility.
Beatsource, the open format DJ platform and sister brand to Beatport, partnered with Death Row Records to produce a limited edition collaboration bag celebrating the label's 30th anniversary. Built on the Jetpack DJ bag as the base product, the project called for a suite of custom designed elements that would transform a functional DJ bag into a collectible cultural artifact.
The centerpiece was a custom illustration, a hooded figure seated at a turntable mounted on an electric chair, rendered in gold on black and referencing Death Row's iconic visual identity while reframing it for a DJ audience. This graphic anchored the entire product system.
The illustration was adapted into a full repeat pattern for the interior bag liner, giving the inside its own character. A rubber debossed patch featuring the Death Row x Beatsource lockup was placed on the shoulder strap, and a woven label reading "Serving DJs Since 1991" was applied to the exterior body marking the 30th anniversary.
A pair of black on black metal dog tags with rubber silencers, one debossed with Death Row and one with Beatsource, came attached to the handle as a collectible finishing detail.
The package was completed with a limited edition sticker sheet featuring three colorway variations of the character illustration alongside brand lockup stickers, packaged as a standalone collectible included with each bag.
Every element was designed for production with files prepared for rubber molding, woven label manufacturing, debossed metal fabrication, and print production.
