This project explores the design and development of a personal portfolio website for a UX designer/Framer developer offering services to startup founders and design professionals.
Methodology
Product Design Thinking: The project followed a user-centered approach, focusing on the needs and pain points of target personas.
Design Sprint: A condensed design sprint was conducted to rapidly brainstorm, prototype, and test core website functionalities.
Competitive Analysis: Existing portfolio websites of successful designers and agencies were analyzed to identify best practices and potential differentiators.
Persona Building: Two key personas were created:
UX Design & Development: Figma was used for the initial design, leveraging its intuitive interface for rapid prototyping. Framer then translated the design into a fully interactive website with the potential for animations and micro-interactions.
Challenges
Balancing aesthetics with functionality: Striking the right balance between showcasing design skills and providing clear information about services was crucial.
Catering to diverse user needs: The website needed to appeal to both startup founders and design professionals with potentially different expectations.
Ensuring seamless user experience: Responsiveness and intuitive navigation were prioritized to ensure a positive experience across devices.
Solutions
Clear and concise content: The website utilized concise and impactful language to highlight the designer's skills and experience.
Targeted project showcase: Portfolio sections were tailored towards each persona, showcasing relevant projects and skills.
Interactive elements: Subtle animations and micro-interactions were implemented using Framer to enhance user engagement.
Responsive design: The website was designed to adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and devices.
