Project overview

The project explores how a contemporary design festival can exist as a complete design ecosystem—spanning posters, environmental graphics, wayfinding, tickets, banners, motion design, and digital experience. Inspired by international biennales and large-scale cultural events, the goal was to create a bold, flexible, and recognizable identity that moves seamlessly across physical and digital spaces.


The identity system is built around one central visual language that connects all four disciplines of the festival—Graphic Design, Motion, Product Design, and Architecture.
While each field has its own distinct brand marker and visual character, they all remain part of one unified system led by the Adria Design Biennale identity.


Adria Design Biennale was designed around this principle of connection.
The visual identity needed to reflect movement, exchange, and continuity — not static perfection. The flowing wave forms became the core branding element, functioning as a flexible visual system across all touchpoints. They represent rhythm, collaboration, and the constant transformation of ideas.
Each discipline was assigned its own visual expression through color, typography hierarchy, and messaging, while still remaining part of one cohesive brand world.


A flexible identity system designed to adapt seamlessly across print, digital, and environmental applications, creating one consistent and immersive festival experience.

The identity system extends beyond static visuals into a complete branded experience across physical and digital touchpoints. From posters, banners, tickets, and wayfinding signage to the website interface and environmental graphics, every application was designed to maintain consistency while adapting to its specific function.
The flexible visual language allows the brand to remain bold, recognizable, and immersive across multiple formats, creating a cohesive festival experience that connects visitors with the energy and spirit of Adria Design Biennale.
