Project Overview

Pletho is a health technology startup focused on developing assistive products that improve everyday independence for people living with motor control conditions. The company's first product is designed to help individuals with hand tremors maintain control while eating, transforming a routine daily activity into a more comfortable and dignified experience.
The brand was created from the ground up to position Pletho as a forward-thinking, human-centered technology company. Rather than emphasizing limitation, the identity communicates empowerment, precision, and calm support through design.

Brand Challenge

Pletho entered the market without an established identity, visual language, or communication strategy. As a startup operating in a sensitive health context, the brand needed to avoid both medical coldness and lifestyle superficiality.
The challenge was to create a design system that communicates technological precision while preserving a sense of dignity and humanity. The identity needed to support product credibility, investor confidence, and user trust simultaneously.


Project Goals

The identity was designed to balance clinical reliability with emotional warmth, presenting assistive technology as refined, respectful, and seamlessly integrated into everyday life. The system was developed to function consistently across product communication, digital platforms, investor materials, digital campaigns and future product expansions.

Target Audience

The brand is designed for individuals living with motor control conditions who seek practical support without stigma, as well as their families and caregivers who value reliability, safety, and thoughtful design.
In addition, the identity addresses healthcare professionals and early-stage investors by communicating credibility, innovation, and long-term vision within the assistive technology space.


Ongoing Development

The Pletho digital platform is currently in active development, with the full website experience scheduled for release alongside the product launch. The hero concept presented in this case study reflects the initial direction of the digital interface, focusing on motion, clarity, and user-centered communication.
Product visuals, including final spoon renders and detailed imagery, remain in development. Due to ongoing refinement and NDA agreements, certain materials cannot be publicly shared at this stage. Additional assets and comprehensive product visuals will be introduced upon official release.

The Solution

The visual identity was developed around clarity, stability, and calm movement. Typography, spacing, and composition were designed to reflect controlled motion and balance — concepts directly connected to the product's purpose.
