Reporta is a mobile app concept designed to make reporting community issues faster, simpler, and more engaging.
Instead of long forms and complicated government portals, Reporta allows residents to submit complaints about issues such as waste management, noise pollution, infrastructure damage, and public safety through a playful, guided experience.
The Goal
The goal was to design a reporting experience that feels:
Fast
Visual
Approachable
Easy to update
Easy to manage
Rather than treating complaint submission as a one-time task, I wanted users to feel in control throughout the entire lifecycle of a report.
Creating a New Complaint
The core experience revolves around submitting a complaint.
Instead of presenting users with a large form immediately, the flow breaks the process into smaller steps. Users first choose a visual sticker representing the issue, then provide details, location, date, and time.
Managing Existing Reports
Reporting an issue is only part of the experience.
Users can revisit complaints they've already submitted to make changes, update information, or remove reports that are no longer relevant.
This flexibility gives users ownership over their submissions and helps keep information accurate over time.
Building a Personal Identity
To make the app feel more community-driven, users can personalize their profile using stickers and visual identifiers.
This small touch adds personality to the experience and makes interactions feel less anonymous while maintaining the playful visual language used throughout the product.
