Dear Elizabeth Lake,
Have you picked out your Easter egg yet?
I am setting up a local egg hunt at our very own Rowheath Pavilion - one for families and one just for adults. I am a local community worker and it’s my job to set up events like The Easter Egg Hunt.
The eggs you find are free to keep, the entrance fee is £6.50 for adults (children go free) which goes to charity and for the running of the event.
We have set up the event to support Birmingham City Mission’s Care Centre which supports the homeless and the marginalised. By joining us, not only will you be having a great time, but you'll be helping out those in need!
For that reason we are also having a sponsored egg and spoon race. The winner will get the limited edition Brummie Chocolate Easter egg. We are happy to announce that BrumBox, a local luxury chocolate shop, is one of our sponsors for the event.
Please don’t be too disappointed if you don’t win as Brumbox will be selling their limited stock of their mystery Easter Egg after the race at our reception.
The dates are below for the hunt and race:
15th March- 6 PM - Adult only Egg Hunt
16th March- 1 PM - Family Egg Hunt
16th March- 3 PM - Children’s Egg and Spoon race
16th March- 5 PM- Adult’s Egg and Spoon race
The spaces are limited so please do by your tickets for the entrance fee at theeasteregghunt.co.uk
Why we do what we do
Having established our Community Centre in 1959, our Founder realised that we were not affiliated with many local charities, so we have since strived to not only run our own events and charities, but also to support charities instead of just being a cafe and events centre. As a result, we have been committed to helping those in need and making a difference in our community, and this remains one of our core values today.
Volunteering
It’s not too late to volunteer with us. We are looking for volunteers to help us set up and to support the events team. Every contribution to the day is much appreciated and all refreshments will be free!
Donations
Your donations make a real difference in supporting the local homeless community of Birmingham.

Miss Elizabeth Lake, thank you for your continued partnership with Rowheath Pavilion’s community work. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will help us to continue providing vital services to people in need. Your support is invaluable. Thank you.
Best regards,
Deborah Daniel.
Community Work Manager.
P.S. We have more exciting sponsored events coming up in April, if you’re hungry for more we’ve got a bake sale event in the works. You would want to stay updated as we’ve got some great bakers involved.
