that was the real problem here. the shop needed a booking system, but a form on a website wasn’t going to cut it. people call. they want an answer now

so I developed an AI voice agent using Vapi. it picks up the call, talks to the customer, and finds out what they need and when they want to come in.

then Make.com takes over in the background. it checks the calendar for a free slot, saves the booking in the database, updates the CRM, and sends the customer an SMS and an email confirmation. the customer hangs up with a booked slot. nobody at the shop touched anything.

the part I cared about most was the calendar check. a voice agent that books a slot that’s already taken is worse than no agent at all. so availability gets checked before anything is confirmed.
