The car service market in the Middle East is fragmented and inconvenient. We partnered with a leading venture studio and corporate partner to develop a cutting-edge marketplace that seamlessly connects consumers and service providers, creating a user-friendly platform that simplifies the process for all parties involved.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We collaborated with the world's largest independent venture studio to address the untapped potential of the Saudi Arabian car service market. The project aimed to create a web application with features like guided booking surveys, a booking system, a secure checkout with integrated payments, and booking confirmations.

DESIGN PROCESS

Considering the unique cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia, we prioritized a user-centric design approach. This involved:

RIGHT TO LEFT (RTL) INTERFACE

We ensured the user interface followed the RTL reading and writing format, optimizing navigation for Arabic users.

CATERING TO NEW TECH USERS

We recognized that a portion of the target audience might not be accustomed to tech-based solutions. Our high-fidelity designs aim to provide a clear and intuitive user experience.

DEVELOPMENT

We developed the marketplace with a simple V1 and spent months making rapid iterations. The result was Saudi Arabia's first full-service mobile solution for automotive repair and maintenance.

RTL USER INTERFACE

The user interface was designed and developed with RTL functionality to cater to Arabic users.

PAYMENT GATEWAY INTEGRATION

Since Stripe is not available in Saudi Arabia, we explored alternative payment solutions. After thorough research, we implemented Tap Payments and closely collaborated with their team to ensure seamless integration.

MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT

The app is available in both English and Arabic. To guarantee the best user experience, we opted for professional translation services instead of relying on machine translation tools like Google Translate.

RAPID DEVELOPMENT CYCLE

Working within tight deadlines set by the venture studio, we adopted an agile development approach with frequent sprints and user feedback sessions. This rapid iteration process was crucial in achieving a product-market fit within a short timeframe.
