We realized that we needed to enhance the way artists and photography aficionados publish their photos online.
Setting up a website directly from your phone can be a challenging task. We aimed to create an experience that is exceptionally user-friendly for all the photography aficionados out there.
Our goal was to strike a balance between simplicity and speed, creating an app that would enable users to publish their own beautifully designed online art gallery in minutes.
How I narrowed down the direction
We aimed to create an app that felt as though it were designed by Apple itself. Therefore, there was a strong emphasis on maintaining design consistency by adhering to all the systematic approaches outlined in Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
Our primary design focus was to ensure that the interface never overshadowed the beautiful photos generated by users. Additionally, we wanted to empower users with the ability to make small adjustments to the look and feel of their gallery, allowing them to personalize it to their liking. While customization options were limited, this approach enabled us to guarantee that the end result for users was a top-notch, well-designed art gallery.
