Today I learned a tiny YouTube trick that saved my video. I am super excited to share with you.

Google NotebookLM made me a short explainer. I love the script and how smooth it sounds, but the slides aren’t my style. The branding isn’t there, and the colors feel off. I wanted to rebuild the deck and needed the exact words as subtitles. Even with ChatGPT’s help, the wording had me hunting.

If you ever need the subtitle file so you can reuse the script, here is what worked:

Upload your video to YouTube Studio

Set it to Unlisted or Private

Open Subtitles in the left sidebar, pick English (automatic)

Click the three dots on the right, choose Download

Pick .srt or .txt, then download
