URBAN SCAPE

Urban Scape is a branding and event identity project created for a sustainable, community-driven pop-up focused on second-hand urban wear, local creatives, and cultural exchange. The project was designed to bridge the gap between sustainability-focused markets and contemporary urban culture by creating a visual identity that feels youthful, expressive, and culturally relevant rather than overly polished or corporate.
The event combines curated second-hand fashion, open mic performances, crafts, and community activities into a single immersive experience rooted in NYC street culture.

The Problem / Gap in the Market

Many sustainable fashion events rely on clean, minimal, eco-centered branding that often feels disconnected from younger urban audiences and streetwear culture. Sustainability branding frequently leans into earthy palettes, wellness aesthetics, or luxury minimalism that do not reflect the visual intensity and energy of city environments.
At the same time, urban fashion events often prioritize trend culture and consumerism without creating meaningful conversations around sustainability or community engagement.
Urban Scape was created to occupy the space between these two worlds:
sustainability without corporate eco-branding
urban fashion without fast-fashion culture
community experiences that feel authentic rather than commercialized
The challenge was designing an identity system that could communicate sustainability, creativity, and urban culture simultaneously while remaining visually credible within streetwear-inspired spaces.

Design Solution

The design system for Urban Scape uses oversized typography, layered hierarchy, and handmade visual elements to create a brand identity inspired by the visual language of New York City.
Rather than creating a polished or luxury aesthetic, the project intentionally embraces imperfection, density, and boldness to reflect the raw energy of underground creative communities.
