As an Ethiopian-American woman, I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of racism and discrimination. I’ve realized that many people are unaware of what it’s like to be a racial minority. Racism, discrimination, and microagressions are usually a result of ignorance rather than hatred. With this in mind, I created an Instagram account to tell people what it’s like to be a minority and create empathy.
