This flyer took 4 hours to make…
I loved every minute of it.
Five photos, sourced and selected with intention. Layered, blended, masked, and pushed around in Photoshop until something clicked. It's collaged - digitally handmade, if that's a phrase - which for me sits in a completely different category to AI-generated work.
Not better or worse. Just different. This one came from decisions. Hundreds of small ones. Which image carries the mood? Does this layer sit in front or behind? What does the colour do when I shift the blend mode? Try it. Undo it. Try something else.
That's the bit people don't see - the critical thinking, the problem solving, and honestly, the play. There's a point in a Photoshop session where you stop following a plan and start following your instincts. That's where the interesting stuff usually happens.
Four hours of brain, hand, and eye. No prompt. No generate. Just making. Resources: brooke-balentine-RgcVg8Et4w8-unsplash.jpg
