Client: HolyMoly Perfume
Product: Lime & Woody Fragrance
Role: Creative Direction · Video Production · Video Editing · Color Grading
A short cinematic product film created to visually communicate the fresh, citrusy, and woody character of HolyMoly's fragrance.
The Challenge
How do you make someone feel a scent through a screen?
Unlike a visual product, fragrance can't be experienced directly through video. The challenge was to translate the perfume's fresh lime and woody character into visual cues that the audience could immediately understand.
The Approach
Turning Ingredients Into Visual Language.
I built the visual direction around the fragrance's key characteristics, using ingredients, textures, movement, and color to suggest the scent rather than simply showing the bottle.
Developed the visual concept and product sequence
Selected and prepared supporting props
Directed the product shoot and lighting
Captured ingredient and texture details
Used pacing and visual transitions to build the sensory experience
Finished with color grading to reinforce the fresh and woody mood
The goal was to make the audience see the freshness before they even smell it.
The Result
A cinematic product film that translates an intangible fragrance into a visual experience, giving the audience a clearer sense of the perfume's fresh and woody character through imagery.
