Born from a 62-year mezcal legacy, CHICOTONA reimagines heritage through a contemporary lens.
What began in Guerrero with Don Lauro continues through a visual language shaped by texture, memory, and modern Mexican identity.
The system avoids folkloric clichés in favor of something quieter: raw materials, bold typography, tactile surfaces, and symbolic details hidden in plain sight.
At the center stands the serpent as a silent mark of origin and craft.
CHICOTONA exists between worlds: ancestral production and contemporary culture, local tradition and global design.

We were asked to reinvent an old Scrappy Bottle from " La Fábrica del Abuelo". A unique challenge to redesign the piece while honoring its true legacy.
